A Desolate LandscapeSoon this memory
will fade, much
like the night
that harbored a
dying dream.

If an escape
is what you
seek, the
waking moment
is forever desired,
calling you back
from some
unknown reality.

If, though, the
darkness of the
dream that so
consumes the
mind does not
release you from
its grasp, what
other ways will
you seek to
escape this?

At that end,
do you wish
to be granted
farewell by
someone other
than a priest?
He speaks
meaningless
words above
your tomb that
seem like wisdom
to those who
grieve, yet his
heart is not
encompassed
by sorrow.

...a ghost
forever dwells

RecoilA watchful eye
lingers in your
corner, dwelling
upon the essence
of your elegance.

Oh lustrous deity,
a fear encompasses
my weary heart,
a fear that you will
distance yourself
from my open door.

So swiftly does the
wind blow it shut,
forever blinding me;
no longer may I
behold thy beauty.

Yeti remains a glittering star
On the ecological ladder,
After a very, very long climb.

The only raw emotion exposed by this poem is admiration for a species that have managed to evade our full atention for so long ... good on em!

I describe Phoetry as a fusion of poetry and photography.
I came up with the Phoetry concept in the early 1990s.
Phoetry can also be described as Visual Poetry and loosely described as Concrete Poetry.
