The Birds (by Cornish Poet Clive Blake -Clive Live) Phoetry - Visual Poetry - Concrete Poetry - Poetry

The dawn broke;
Shattered beyond repair,
The birds spoke;
Chirps of joy, cheeps of despair,
The fog rolled;
But there was no dice in sight,
The birds strolled;
They were in no mood for flight,
The fog sank;
Once gone, would it be mist?
The birds preened;
Making their sleek bodies list,
The wind blue;
Colour blind though it was,
The birds flew;
Who knows why?
Just ... because!

"The Birds" (by Cornish Poet Clive Blake -Clive Live) Phoetry - Visual Poetry - Concrete Poetry - Poetry:
This "The Birds" has nothing to do with Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" or anyone else's "The Birds" other than this "The Birds"!! Please also note that no birds were harmed during the making of this phoem!! Please also note that the only shooting of these birds was carried out with a camera ... indeed, no birds were harmed during the making of the phoem!

This 'phoem' is titled "The Birds” (by Cornish Poet Clive Blake -Clive Live) Phoetry – Visual Poetry – Concrete Poetry - Poetry,
from the 'Phoetry Book', View Points and Points of View".

I describe Phoetry as a fusion of poetry and photography.
I came up with the Phoetry concept in 1994.
Phoetry can also be described as Visual Poetry and loosely described as Concrete Poetry.

I like the rhythm formed by repetition of "The birds (verbed)", and the rhyming. Good work :)
